1 C butter flavor shortening, 1C+3 T peanut butter, 1 C sugar, 1 C brown sugar, 1 egg + 1 egg yolk,
2 1/2 C flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 1/2 tsp soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 C sugar to roll balls in, 30 Hershey's
Kisses ( if making Blossoms )

Directions:
Cream shortening, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg & yolk in bowl. Add flour, baking powder, soda, salt & mix to blend. Roll into quarter size balls & roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet & press lightly with fork in criss cross pattern. Preheat oven @ 350º bake for 10 to 12 minutes until very lightly browned. Remove from pan & cool on rack.

These are my sister Kim's & my Dad's favorite 'hot out of da oven' cookies. For Seasonal change,
don't press w/ fork, unwrap 30 or so Hershey's Kisses & lightly press kiss down on top of ball.
These are called Peanut Butter Blossoms. Santa always Loves these ... Enjoy !
