Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 1/4 lbs butter at room temperature
3/4 sugar
3 extra lg eggs
3/4 tesp vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
1/2 tesp baking powder
1/4 tesp salt

Topping:
1 pound butter
1 c good honey
3 c light brown sugar. packed
1 tesp grated lemon zest
1 tesp grated orange zest
1/4 c heavy cream

1 pounds pecans, coarsely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
For the crust, beat the butter and granulated sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer. Best with the paddle attachment. Beat till light about 3 min. Add the eggs and the vanilla, mix well. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix the dry ingredients into the batter with the mixer on low., just till combined. Press the dough into an ungreased baking sheet 18x12. Make the dough a little higher on the out side edge. The dough will be sticky, so flour your hands lightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min. till lightly brown. Allow to cool
For the topping, combine the butter, honey, brown sugar, and zests in a large heavy bottomed saucepan. Cook over med heat until the butter is melted, using a wooden spoon to stir. Raise the heat and boil for 3 min. Remove from heat. Stir in the heavy cream and pecans. Pour over the cooked crust, be careful you don't spill the filling between the pan and crust. Bake for 25 - 30 min. until the filling is set. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until cold. Cut into squares and serve.

Personal Notes:
You need to try these, they are delicious! My favorite cook Paula Dean's recipe. If you want these fancy, take the individual cut bars and dip one end in melted chocolate. Then place on a flattened paper muffing tin liner. Looks very festive!
