"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Preheat oven to 350º. Combine egg and sugars. Cream really well. Add salt and soda. Mix until blended. Add flour 1 cup at a time. Mix until well blended. Add chocolate chips, walnuts and whatever else you like in your cookies. Bake 10-13 minutes.
This recipe is tried and tested. I got it from my dear friend, Cami. Her Mia Maid girls would look forward to their birthdays, where she would bring them each a dozen cookies. Experiment with your favorite chips and nuts.
