3/4 c. butter or margarine softened
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. pecans, chopped
1/2 strawberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
Cream better; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks and vanilla, beating well. Gradually stir in flour and pecans.

Pat half of dough evenly in a greased 9-inch square baker. Spread strawberry jam evenly over dough in pan. Drop remaining dough by tbspfuls over jam; spread evenly. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Cool. Cut into bars.
