1 cup butter
1 3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 can cherry pie filling
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together dry ingredients and add to shortening mixture. Spread dough (it will be thick) in greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 jelly roll pan, reserving 1 cup. Spread pie filling over dough and drop the remainign dough by small spoonsful over this. Bake 45 minutes at 350º. Drizzle with icing made of 1 cup powdered sugar and 2 or 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Lemon or blueberry pie filling is good too!
