40 oz frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
1/3 cup onions, chopped
2 cups shredded cheese (mixture of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (10 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup margarine, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º. In a large bowl, combine hash browns, onions, shredded cheese, pepper and salt. Add cream of chicken soup and mix thoroughly, add margarine, continue to mix thoroughly. Grease 9x13 inch pan. Transfer the hash brown mixture into the greased pan and spread out evenly. Don't pack down. Bake for one hour on top rack of oven, or until golden brown. Rotate pan for even browning if necessary. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
