Ingredients:  
1 c butter
1 c sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 c slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Then add egg yolk, flour, and cinnamon. Divide dough in 2 parts. Spread in two 8 X 10 ungreased pans, or 1 large cookie sheet. Beat the egg white and brush over top of the dough. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 300º for 25 - 30 minutes. Cut while hot into squares, but do not remove until cool. Makes 4 dozen.
