8 quarts tomato juice
12 small onions, chopped
2 quarts raw carrots, chopped
1 head cabbage, chopped
About 6 green peppers, chopped
1 large bunch celery, chopped
1 scant cup salt
1 T black pepper
1 quart water

Put all together in larger pot or canner. Simmer for 1 hour. Seal in hot jars.

When you use this, add a jar of water. Great things to add are hamburger, rice, pasta, beef broth and other veggies.
