3 lbs. ground pork
1 cup washed rice
1/4+ lb. butter
4-5 onions
3 medium-sized green cabbage heads
2 tsp. salt
pepper
garlic powder
1 large can tomato juice
1 small can tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar
pepper
1/2 t. salt
garlic powder
2 tbsp. bacon fat or 1/2 lb. chunk of bacon
Tabasco sauce (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mixture: Parboil rice. Dice and saute onions. Pour butter & onions over parboiled rice.
2. Combine meat with rice, butter, and onions. Season well with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Boil cabbage heads. When soft, separate leaves, and fill with mixture.
4. Sauce: Mix tomato juice, tomato paste, sugar, pepper, salt, and garlic powder together. Put bacon fat or chunk of bacon into sauce
5. Pour sauce over holubki, and cook slowly 1 hr.
