3 c. sugar
1 envelope unflavored gelatine
1 c. milk
1/2 c. light corn syrup
3 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 1/4 c. butterl
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and dry gelatine in a 3 1/2 qt. saucepan. Add milk, corn syrup, chocolate and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, and use a candy thermometer to check the temperature. The temperature should reach 238º. Remove from heat and pour into a large mixing bowl. Stir in vanilla. Cool for 25 min.. Beat candy with a wooden spoon until candy thickens.. Stir in nuts. Spread into a pre-buttered 8x8 inch pan. Let cool and cut into squares.
