1 Fryer whole or cut up
4 hard boiled eggs
2 ribs celery chopped
1 onion chopped (optional)
1/2 c plain flour
For Pastry: 1 c buttermilk
1 c plain flour
1 stick butter melted
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Boil chicken with celery and onion in large pot with 2 quarts water until tender. Reserve broth. Cool & debone chicken. Bring 1 quart reserved broth to a boil and thicken with 1/2 c flour that has been mixed with cold water. Place chicken in greased 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish. Slice boiled eggs and place on chicken. Pour thickened broth over mixture. Melt butter and add to pastry ingredients. Spoon over top of chicken & boiled eggs. Bake in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes.
