1/2 C. butter softened (Faye uses margarine)
1/2 c. sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, 1 cup at a time, mixing after each addition. Dough will be stiff. Do not chill. Roll on floured surface, cut, and bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 7 minutes. Can frost if desired.

I really like this recipe from Faye Kneeland. She will take a valentine cutter and cut one for the bottom and take another cutter that has a heart cut out in the center and frost the bottom cookie and place the top cut out heart on it and then sprinkle with powdered sugar. Mine never looks like hers, she just has a knack to make it look professional. YUMMY!
