1 c butter
1 1/;2 c sugar
2 c dates
2 tabl evaporated milk
1 tesp salt
2 eggs beaten
4 c rice krispies
1 c shopped nuts
1 tesp vanilla
coconut ( to roll the balls in)

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy pan, melt butter, stir in sugar till melted, add dates and continue to cook, stirring until mixture leaves the side of the pan. Stir in milk,salt, eggs, and cook 2 min. Remove from heat, add rice krispies, vanilla and nuts. Cool until you can handle. Not very long! Roll into balls then coconut. Refrigerate until firm.

This was Jason's favorite Christmas cookie. Another recipe I got when I first joined the church. Grace Wilton is Mike Wilton's mom.(she was a member too). She had great recipes also. They put together a cookbook and this was one I used a lot.
