1/2 butter softend, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg slightly beaten, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1 and 1/2 cups flour, 1 cup milk, 1 and 1/2 cups raw cranberries cut up

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter, sugar. Add egg. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together and add to butter mixture alternating with milk. Fold in cut up cranberries. Put batter in a greased 8 x 8 pan and bake for 40 - 45 min. Serve warm with the following mixture of 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup cream, 1/2 cup butter cooked until melted and blended.
