1/2 c sugar
1/4 c butter or margarine
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 c sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add alternately with milk. Pour into greased 8" x 8" pan and bake 25 minutes, or until done.
