1 c shortening 1 c granulated sugar 1 c brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 c peanut butter 3 c flour 2 tsp soda 1/2 tsp salt
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture. Drop by rounded teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with back of fork to make crisscross. Bake in moderate oven 350º about 10 minutes. For richer cookies, use 2 cups of flour
