Ingredients: 1 package of white or yellow cake mix 1 can (21 to 32 oz.) of Cherry Pie Filling/Topping 1/2 c. water 1 t. lemon juice 1 to 2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions:Cover the bottom of a oven and/or microwave safe 9 in. pie pan with some of the cake mix. Spread the entire can of cherry filling over the top of cake mix. Sprinkle the remaining cake mix on top of the cherry filling. Mix water and lemon juice together and pour over the top of the cake mix topping, making sure the entire surface gets some moisture. Sprinkle cinnamon over surface. Either bake at 350º for 50 min. or microwave for 12 to 13 minutes on high. Let cool. Scoop out and enjoy! |

Notes: This is another family favorite! You can sprinkle a bit of water/lemon liquid mixture on the bottom layer of cake mix before adding the cherry filling if you wish, otherwise it is quite normal to have some crumbly dry bits of cake mix in the finished product - which adds to the yummy uniqueness of this dessert!
