1/2 cup butter, divided in half
2 cups sugar
1 cup cream, divided in half
7/8 cup dark corn syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Put half of butter and cream, sugar and corn syrup into a saucepan and boil for 5-8 minutes. Add the other half of cream and butter and cook to softball stage (240º). Test a teaspoon full of the boiling candy in a cup of cold water. However firm the ball is when cooled will be the consistency of the caramel when cooked. Pour into a buttered pan and let cool.
