Crust
1/3 c. sugar
6 T. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
4 c. peeled, sliced apples
Filling
8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
Topping
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Place sliced apples in 9x9 pan; cover with foil..Bake in 400 oven for 20 minutes. Cream sugar and butter; add rest of crust ingredients. Pat in bottom and half way sides of 9 in. spring form pan. Cream the cream cheese and sugar; add rest of filling ingredients. Spread over crust. Add cooked apples. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over apples. Bake at 400 for 35-40 minutes. If topping looks dark, cover lightly with foil.
