2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
Topping:
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 3/4 cups boiling water
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the dry ingredients of the batter, then add the milk, vanilla, and butter. Spread the batter in the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 pan. Combine brown sugar, cocoa, and sugar and sprinkle it on top of batter in the cake pan. Pour boiling water over it, DO NOT STIR. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes. Do not overbake. Serve with whip cream or ice cream while hot.
