2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
2 c. half and half cream divided
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Line a 13x9x2 pan with foil. Butter foil and set aside. Combine sugar, syrup and 1 cup of cream in a 5 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Slowly stir in remaining cream. Cook over medium heat until the thermometer reads 250º or hardball stage, stirring frequently. remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla until well mixed about 5 minutes. Pour into prepared pan and cut into 1 inch squares. Wrap in wax paper and twist ends.
