3/4 C. boiling water
1/2 C. cocoa
1 3/4 C. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 C. salad oil
7 unheated egg yolks
2 tsp. vanilla
1 C. egg whites
1/2 tsp cream of tarter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine water and cocoa and cool. sift flour sugar, baking powder and salt together in a bowl. Make a "well" and add cooking oil, egg yolks, cooled cocoa mixture and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Beat egg whites and cream of tarter in large mixing bowl until stiff. Pour egg yolk mixture over egg whites gently folding and cutting with rubber spatula until blended. Pour in un greased 10" tube pan. Bake at 350' for one hour. Invert pan and hang until cool.
