2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. sour milk
2 tbsp. molasses
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. nuts (optional)
1 c. raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs, one at at time, beating well after each addition. Combine milk and molasses. Sift together dry ingredients. Add milk mixture, alternating with dry ingredients until all combined. Stir in nuts and raisins if desired.

Bake in a greased 9x13 inch pan at 350º for 40-50 minutes or until done. When cool, frost with Penuche Icing.
