1 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 2 eggs, well beated ½ teaspoon vanilla 1 ½ cup flour ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking powder
Cream shortening and sugar add eggs, vanilla and flour in which has been sifted with baking [powder and salt. Spread on cookie sheet and sprinkle with one cup of nuts. Beat white of one egg with 1 cup of light brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Spread on cookies and bake 35 minutes
