1/2 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour unsifted
2 t. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1 can sour pitted red cherries (undrained)
1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In 9 inch square baking pan melt margarine. Blend sugar, flour, baking powder and milk and spread this mixture over the melted margarine--do not stir into margarine. Pour cherries and liquid over the flour mixture again being careful to not stir in. Sprinkle with 1/2 c. sugar over the cherries...again--do not stir in. Bake at 325º
