1 1/4 cups shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups shredded coconut meat
2 cups cornflakes

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cream shortening with sugars. Beat until light. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Combine with creamed mixture. Stir in coconut and cornflakes. Drop in small teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
