3 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup cornflakes
1 cup quick-cooking oats
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Sift flour, baking soda and salt onto waxed paper.

3. Beat butter, margarine, sugars, egg, milk and vanilla in bowl until well blended.

4. Stir in flour mixture alternately with oil until mixture is thoroughly mixed. Stir in corn flakes, oats and chocolate chips. Drop by heaping teaspoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
