Pizza Crust Recipe

1 1/3 c. Lukewarm Water
1 tsp Sugar
1 Package Active Dry Yeast
4 1/3 c Sifted all purpose flour
2 T. Vegetable Oil (I use Canola)
2 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine water, yeast sald oil and sugar. Mix slightly and allow yeast to work with sugar about 15 minutes. Then add 2 cups of the flour and mix to a smooth batter. Add remaining flour and knead about 10 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.

Let rise until double about 2 hours. Punch down and divide in half. makes 2 14" pizza crusts.

Preheat over to 450º Bake pizza until crust is crisp and golden brown about 30 minutes.

I have tweaked this recipe from a recipe I got from Sgt. Jeff Smith in Augsburg, Germany when I was stationed there in the early 1980's.
