Cream 1 cup Crisco and 1 cup white sugar add 2 eggs and beat well.
Add by hand 1 3/4 cup flour, 2 T. cocoa and 1/2 t. salt.

Directions:
Directions:
1st: Put in a small bowl 1 cup boiling water and 1 cup chopped dates; sprinkle 1 t. soda over figs.
When cool add to top mixture. Then put in a 10x15 inch pan. Sprinkle top with 3/4 cup chopped nuts and 3/4 cup chocolate chips. While still warm sprinkle with powdered sugar. These freeze very well.
