3/4 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2/3 c. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. flour
Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, sugar and vanilla. Cream well. Add eggs and beat. Sift together cocoa, baking powder, 1 c. flour and salt. Add to mixture, then add remaining 2 1/4 c. flour.

Chill overnight. Make into 1" balls and roll in powdered sugar. Bake at 350º F for 10 minutes. Remove from oven while still soft - before they look done. Leave on cookie sheet to firm up.
