1 egg
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c butter
pinch salt
3 c flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 c sour milk
1 c molasses

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Dissolve the baking soda in the sour milk. (Sour milk can be made by adding one T of lemon juice or vinegar to milk).
Combine dry ingredients. Add molasses, eggs, and milk to dry ingredients.
Bake in a 9 in square pan for 35 minutes or until firm
