6 medium yams, cooked, peeled and halved
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 cup heavy cream
3 tsp. corn oil or margarine
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
arrange yams on single layer in shallow baking dish or pan and bake in oven at 350º for 15 minutes. In a heavy 2 quart sauce pan stir together sugar, cream, corn syrup, oil or margarine and salt stirring constantly. Bring to boil over medium heat and boil for 5 minutes. Then pour over yam, bake basting the yams twice for 15 minutes longer.
