1c chopped onion
1 c chopped celery
2 c diced potatoes
2 cans clams
3/4 c butter
3/4 c flour
2 cup milk or 1 can evaporated milk
pepper
2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Drain clam juice and pour over vegetables. Put in pan and add enough water to cover the vegetables. Simmer, covered, until barely tender. Blend and whip the butter and flour. Gradually add milk. add pepper to taste, salt and red wine vinegar. cook to heat
