2 lbs. red cabbage
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. sugar
2 med apples
1/2 med. onion diced
2 c. water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 bay leaf whole
3 whole cloves

Wash cabbage and cut in small chunks. Put in med pot. Peel and dice apples, add to cabbage. Add remaining ingredients except cornstarch. Bring to a boil and then simmer for about 40 min. Mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp. water and add to cabbage while stirring. Remove bay leaves and cloves when done.
