1 package beans, red
1 medium onion, chopped
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cloves garlic
3 pieces bay leaves
1 teaspoon pepper
1 large ham hock
1 package rice

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight in cold salted water.
Drain beans and add fresh water. Add all other ingredients and simmer in crock pot on high until beans are tender (4-5 hours). Serve over rice. Recipe can be easily adjusted for your personal taste. Watch salt as pork makes fairly salty.
