1 c margarine
1 1/2 c sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 t vanilla
3 c sifted flour
1 t salt
1 t baking soda
1 t. nutmeg
1 c quick oats
1 c chopped, roasted, blanched almonds
3/4 c maraschino cherries, drained & chopped
3/4 c raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Sift flour, salt, soda, and nutmeg. Stir into creamed mixture. Add oats, almonds, cherries, raisins. Mix. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Top each with cherry half, if desired.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 400.
