1 ½ C Sugar
¾ C Shortening
2 Eggs
1 tsp Baking soda
1 C Sour cream
3 C Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla

Frosting
1 stick Butter/margarine
2 C Powdered sugar
½ tsp Almond extract
a dash of milk, as needed

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar & shortening. Add eggs & beat well. Combine sour cream & baking soda – set aside for 3 minutes. After allowing it to set, add to sugar mixture. Add remaining ingredients & combine well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350.

Combine frosting ingredients, adding milk a tsp at a time until desired consistency is reached. Frost cooled cookies
