1 gal. ripe tomatoes
8 med. onions (chopped)
8 bell peppers (chopped)
8 hot-peppers (chopped)
1 qt. vinegar
4 c. sugar
1 t. salt
2 T. celery seed
Turmeric (using own judgment or approx. 3 T.)

Directions:
Directions:
Place whole tomatoes in large pan, covering with water. Bring to boil approximately 15-20 minutes. Pour off hot water and rinse in cold water bath until cooled. Peal and cut-up for relish. Add remaining ingredients boil in large pan for approximately 2 1/2 hours. Put in sterilized jars and seal.

Optional - Make a paste of 4 T. of flour and water. Stir this into mixture after simmering 2 1/2 hours, simmer for 5 to 10 minutes longer.
