Rusk Pie Recipe

12 Holland rusks
1/4 cup sugar
1/4# soft butter
Crush rusks into crumbs and melt butter
Mix together, put in pie plate saving 1/4 cup for top

2 cups milk
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp cornstarch
Pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla

Mix together with egg beater
Stir constantly over medium heat
Boil 1 minute
Add 1 tsp vanilla and pour into pie shell

Beat egg whites and 2 Tbsp powdered sugar and spread on pie, then crumbs on top

Bake @350 for 15-20 minutes
