1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar granulated
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tbl cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter & sugar. Add dry ingredients and mix.
lay on cookie sheet and roll out to cover inside.
sprinkle 1/4 c sugar on top
Prick tops of cookies. cut into 1/2 " by 2" strips
Bake at 340 for 25 min.
Use ONLY SINGLE layer cookie sheet!

Every year at Christmas Time in Kent, WA these cookies were baked and, placed out for customers to eat while shopping at the "By The Red Barn" gift shop. The originator of these cookies is Maxine White. The mother of the owner "By Red Barn"
