Cranberry Cake with Butter Sauce Recipe

1 1/2 T butter
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c water
1/4 c evaporated milk
1 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 c fresh cranberries

Butter Sauce:
1/2 c butter
1 c sugar
1/2 c evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla

Mix flour, salt and soda in bowl. Whisk to combine. In mixer, add sugar, water, milk and melted butter. Slowly add dry ingredients. Do not overmix. Fold in cranberries with a few stirs. Place in well-greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes. Can double or triple the recipe and bake in a Bundt pan.

For Butter Sauce:
Add all ingredients except vanilla and heat to dissolve sugar. Add vanilla and keep warm to serve.
