Personal Notes:
This is so simple and so good. The first time we ate these, I was in Junior High and Darrel and David still in elementary school. We went to Dorothy and Russel's in Forest Grove for a holiday meal (probably Thanksgiving). Dorothy asked Mom how many onions she should cook and Mom told her not to worry - none of us boys would eat anything like that. As the story goes, no one else had a chance to eat any onions - we ate them all.
