1 c rolled oats
1 c hot water
1/2 c butter or oleo
1 c brown sugar dirmly packed
1/2 c granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c flour
1 t cinnamon
1 t soda
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/2 t ground cloves
1/2 c mashed ripe banana
1/2 c chopped nuts
1/2 c chopped dates

Directions:
Directions:
Put rolled oats in bowl; pour in hot water; stir and cool for 30 minutes. Cream butter with sugars, blend in eggs; beat until smooth. Sift flour, measur, sift again with cinnamon, soda, baking powder, salt, and cloves; slowly add to creamed mixture, mixing after each addition. Mix in bananas. Blend in oats, nuts and dates. Pour into a greased pan 9X13. Bake in 350 degrees oven for 30 minutes. Cool
