1 cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup crushed pineapple- fruit and juice
4 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup coarse chopped nuts
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time. Beat after each egg. Add pineapple and mix. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the creamed mixture in two parts, mixing after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake in a 400 F oven for about 10 minutes.
