2 c. minus 1 tbsp. all purpose flour
1 T. plus 2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
3 T. stick margarine, chilled
3/4 c. lowfat (1.5%) buttermilk
1&1/2 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Preheat oven to 450. Line baking sheet with waxed paper and spray with Pam. Sift together the flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add 2T. of margarine and blend with pastry cutter until mixture resembles course crumbs. Add buttermilk and cheese. Combine with fork, handling dough as little as possible. Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Melt remaining butter and garlic powder and brush on warm biscuits.
