1/3 cup fresh orange juice
1 tsp. orange peel, grated
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. cardamom, ground
1/4 cup butter or margarine
12 slices french bread loaf, day old, 3/4 inch

Directions:
Directions:
Combine orange juice, peel, eggs, and cardamom; beat well.
Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan in the oven.
Dip the bread on both sides in the egg mixture; place in a single layer in pan.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, turning once.
