2 to 3 pounds of red potatoes 2 to 3 pounds of green beans 1 med onion 4 to 5 slices of bacon salt and pepper to taste
First fry bacon (set aside) on apaper towel (save grease). Wash potatoes and snap beans. Cover both in a large pot with water. cook until tender. Salt and pepper to taste. In bacon grease saute onions (when onions are soft reheat the bacon in the same pan). Add this mixture to the green beans and potatoes. Can add slivered almonds if desired.
