Beef Stroganoff Recipe

2 pounds round steak
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped onion
6 tbsp butter
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 cup water
1 8 oz can mushroom soup
1 4 oz can mushrooms
1 cup sour cream

Cut steak into 1/2 X 2 in. strips. Roll in flour and brown in buttered skillet. Add seasonings and water. Cover and simmer 'til almost tender (45 minutes to 1 hour). Stir occasionally. Add soup and mushrooms. Cook about 30 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in sour cream.

Serve over parsleyed noodles or rice.
