1 Chicken stewed or 3 Chicken breasts cooked
4 tb butter
1/4 cup flour
2 1/2 cups warmed chicken broth
3 eggs lightly beaten
3/4 cup romano cheese grated
a few basil leaves chopped
1 tsp nutmeg
1 box filo dough
one melted stick of butter

Directions:
Directions:
Tear chicken into strips. Melt the 4 tb butter in a sauce pan and slowly stir in the flour over medium heat. Stir until bubbly. Stir in the warm broth and heat until thickened and bubbly. If sauce is too thick, mix in a little milk. Let cool. Mix in the eggs, cheese, basil, a little salt, pepper, and the nutmeg. Add the chicken. Butter a 9x12x3 baking dish. Layer half the filo in the baking dish, brushing each layer with the melted butter. Pour in the chicken filling and spread evenly. Layer the remaining filo sheets on the top buttering each layer and fold in the edges when finished. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serves 4-6 people.
