Cake Ingredients:
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. baking cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Pudding ingredients:
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. baking cocoa
1 1/2 c. hot water

Mix together ingredients for cake. If desired, add nuts last. Pour evenly in bottom of crockpot; spread evenly if necessary.

Mix brown sugar and cocoa for pudding mix. Stir in hot water and stir until smooth. Carefully pour evenly over batter in crock pot. DO NOT STIR!

Cover and cook on high heat for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Turn off crock pot. Let cake stand uncovered 30 to 40 minutes to cool.

Spoon warm cake into dessert dishes. Spoon pudding over top.
